JAPAFLEX features
HOMEPAGE
Your homepage is the first point of call when you create your Japaflex account. If you didn’t give location access, you might be restricted on the feeds that show up on your timeline. If you gave location access, then your homepage has all access. Japaflex works with geofencing technology. You get to see posts of users within 20miles of your current location, except if the user is 'Gold Verified', then their post is across the nation. You can make a post about anything that relates to you. Whether it is for fun, or you need help locating a business or service in your locality, or you wish to know more about the city, all you need to do is make a post, and the users within your locality can help sort out your enquiries or worries.
CONNECT FEATURE
This is the feature that lets you discover other users around you to a distance of 20 miles. When on the connect page, you automatically see Japaflex users and their distance from your current location. You can also filter according to ethnicity, sex, and relationship status to streamline your experience.
LOCATION REFRESH
The game changer, the darling of the Japaflex app. This is on the side slide button. Location refresh is designed to help you switch locations when you move from one city to another. For example, you live in Middlesbrough, and you travel to London, once you toggle the location refresh, you see a prompt asking if you ‘will like to switch location or keep the current location?’
If you click on the switch location button, your location automatically becomes your current city (in this case, London), and then, you are able to see all the Japaflex users in your new city. If you clicked on ‘keep’, your location remains your last location, and your timeline and feeds remain the display from your last known location.
This works across all locations where Japaflex is active. Whether you are travelling from Brussels to Amsterdam, or from the UK to Lagos, toggling the location refresh switches you into the town you are in, and opens you to the users in that town/city.
CONNECT INCOGNITO
The incognito button puts off your profile in the Connect feature. The incognito mode is off by default. If you are a private person and wouldn’t want to be discovered in the connect page, you can switch on your incognito and your profile will be removed from the connect display. If you put on your incognito mode, you will also not be able to see other users in your locality.
CONNECTIONS AND DM
Connection requests are designed for users to have a deeper level of app relationship with other users. Japaflex in-app messaging (DM) is designed such that users cannot send unsolicited messages without having some form of app relationship.
For users to send messages (DM) to each other through the app, they need to be connected.
When a user views another’s profile, the connect button will be visible on the profile. After connecting, the other party gets your connection request, and once it is accepted, a connection is established, and your connection count increases. Then, your chat function automatically appears in the connection’s profile, and you can share DMs.
SHARE, QUOTE AND REPOST
These buttons appear on every post and are grouped under the share icon. When you tap the share icon on your post, you can see the following options: Share to connections, Quote post, Repost to timeline, and Share externally.
All these are designed for you to amplify or distribute your posts. If you share with connections, it goes into the DM of the connection selected. If you repost to connections, all your connections are exposed to the post, irrespective of their location. If you share externally, then the link to the post is generated and can be shared outside the app. If you quote the post, then the original post also gets exposure in your locality.
JAPAFLEX EVENTS
Whether you are a party goer, a fun and outgoing person, or a party organiser, everyone has their fun with Japaflex events.
You can create your won events, or join events. Whether virtual or physical, the field is yours.

The events can also be geofenced by the event organiser, such that you can see the events happening in your city.
JAPAFLEX FORUM
Whatever topics or discussions you wish to have, the Japaflex forums are the best point of call. The feeds you see in the forum depend more on the interests you selected in your profile. It is segmented according to different categories. Also, posts from the forum are filtered to the homepage. Share your knowledge so other users can benefit.
